Dove celebrates 40 years. Join us in remembering the Blessings.
“Rise up on God’s Word”
Romans 8:28- I am assured that all things work together for good.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Thank God for the tough times in your life.
When we are going through the hard patches, God wants us to trust him. He has a reason for putting us in a situation – to learn from it, to grow, and to lean on Him more.
Ask the Lord today – “What do you want me to learn from this trail Lord?”
My lover said to me, ‘Rise up, my beloved, my fair one, and come away. For the winter is past, and the rain is over and gone. The flowers are springing up, and the time of singing birds has come, even the cooing of turtledoves. The fig trees are budding, and the grapevines are in blossom. How delicious they smell! Yes, spring is here! Arise my beloved, my fair one, and come away.’
Dove welcomes women of any age, background and culture to join together, to grow closer to Jesus through the Holy Spirit.
“Where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them.”
Matthew 18:20
Every action in Dove is scripture based. We give priority to knowing, believing and living the Word of God.
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.”
Psalm 119:105
We share the baptism of the Holy Spirit as widely as possible. We pray for one another with the laying on of hands and using the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.”
1 Cor 12:27
Every woman in Dove is called to have a servant heart, reaching out to each other, family, Church members and the wider community.
“…I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.”
John 13:14-15
Dove operates under the authority of the Catholic Bishops of New Zealand, in close association with Charis. We adhere to the spirit of our written guidelines
“…each one should retain the place in life that the Lord assigned to him and to which God has called him…”
1 Cor 7:17
Whenever we make new plans or decisions in Dove we ask God what he thinks first. We do this through a process of group discernment.
“Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
Matthew 6:33
We use a unique form of prayer in which we sing songs of praise together, consciously praying the words of each song, until we feel the presence of God, and worship Him as the Spirit leads us.
“..His song is
upon my lips, a
prayer to the
God of my life”
Psalm 42: 8
O most Holy and Generous Lord. You show us the glory of you and your overwhelming love through Praise and worship. How truly blessed we are as you lead us
