Dove Ministry began with a Seminar Day in February 1984. The response was wonderful and from that day Dove has continued to meet for monthly meetings, full day seminars and weekend retreats.
Our goal is to support each other with compassion and love and lead women to a personal and ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord
Our vision sees women from all walks of life, bonding together in the power of the Holy Spirit to effect a force for good in the nation, and becoming instrumental in building up family life and parish life, providing effective support for one another.
The primary focus is leading women to a personal and ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour; to become fully immersed in the life of the Church and to become effective evangelisers of others.
The emphasis is on women’s ministry to women in gentleness and love as exemplified by Mary, Mother of God and Mother of the Church.
Dove is a great way to meet other Christian women and to be strengthened and encouraged in our walk with Jesus.
All women, all ages, all walks of life warmly welcomed. Friendship, fellowship & confidential, gentle prayer ministry available.
No membership or commitment is required. Come join us, bring a friend and allow yourself to be drawn closer to the Lord.
Hello all you beautiful princesses of the kingdom of God,
My name is Gloria Stafford. I live in Hawkes Bay. I have been a widow for the past six years. I have two sons, one daughter and two pre-school aged granddaughters. I was a primary school teacher specializing in Special needs.
I have been involved in Dove Catholic Fellowship for Women since the first meeting of our Hawkes Bay Fellowship in May 1996. I was invited to that meeting to play my guitar in the Praise and Worship team, and enjoyed it so much that I never left. I have been president of Hawkes Bay Fellowship since 2016.
I am now coming out of my Fellowship, to take on the challenges of national leadership. We are only a small team of three at the moment so we each have two mantles. Mine are “leader” and treasurer. We have already discerned some exciting new directions for Dove Catholic Fellowship for Women. I invite each of you to step out with us, on a new journey with the Lord.
Blessings
Gloria
My name is Theresa Goulding. I live in Te Awamutu with my husband Les. We have one daughter Jessica, who is married with two children.
Currently I work fulltime at Otorohanga District Council. I have also taught piano at home and at school over the years. You may have seen me at Dove Retreats on the keyboard with the coloured hair.
I have been involved in Dove Fellowship since 2000 when I was discerned onto the Hamilton Dove Formation Team serving for two years. I have journeyed along with Dove, supporting Leadership Teams in different roles in whatever the Lord has called me to do.
My two mantles on National Team are Secretary and publicity.
I am privileged to be called onto the Dove National Team to serve the women of Dove with Holy Spirit passion, and to listen to the sound of the Dove throughout Aotearoa in a new and exciting way.
’Arise my beloved, my fair one, and come away’
My name is Maree Kowalewski (pronounced Kov-a-leski).
I live in Tauranga with my husband Owen. In September this year we will celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We have two daughters, one son and 4 grandchildren. I have had a range of different jobs over the years. At present I do odd jobs for people, gardening, house cleaning, painting, landscaping etc.
My involvement in Dove started in 1996. At the very first meeting that I attended, as I walked in, I was given the most amazing hug and that was it, I was hooked, and I have not been the same since. I was discerned onto the Tauranga leadership team in 1998 to 2005 and then re-discerned as President in 2009 of Tauranga which is now Bay of Plenty Dove Catholic Fellowship for Women. Now the Lord has called me on to the National Leadership Team, my 2 areas of responsibility are Hospitality and Intercession.
The Lord knows me so well, He knows where I need to be, He has me in the palm of His hand. Dove is His business. He has a mighty plan for Dove Catholic Fellowship for Women. I am committed and extremely honoured to be called to be on the National Leadership Team. I look forward to the new era of Dove Catholic Fellowship for Women.
Psalm 18:2 The LORD is my rock, my fortress, my deliverer; in whom I take refuge. He is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, and my stronghold.
My name is Margo Mason. I live in Rotorua with my husband Ash. We have 4 sons, and 7 grandchildren. I have worked in administration and tourism, and have been Accounts Administrator at St. Mary’s Catholic Primary School for the past 10 years.
I was introduced to Dove 25 + years ago, by my mother Gabrielle, attending Rotorua meetings and various camps. I became involved in music ministry at St. Joseph’s Church (Owhata, Rotorua) and then St. Mary of the Cross Mackillop (St. Mary’s Church), as well as Dove Rotorua.
I am very honoured to be part of the National Dove team. I feel that our Lord has given me this opportunity to grow as a Christian, and to join other women in the next chapter of Dove Catholic Fellowship for Women.
